Our office is open Monday – Friday, 9:30–12:30, except for holidays.
Rev. Dan is available for pastoral care or just to chat almost any time during the week. He & Tess have covenanted with each other to make Friday a sacred day off for both of them, so he will not be available most Fridays unless there is an emergency.

Pastoral Care
As a reminder, Rev Dan is always available for Pastoral Care. That simply means providing a listening ear, an encouraging word, or a calming presence when life’s many challenges come your way.
He is available not only during regular office hours and by appointment, but also 24/7 for emergencies. What might be some reasons to contact him for Pastoral Care? Reasons include the following:
Encouragement through health problems
Hospitalization
Family tragedy
Emotional or spiritual counseling (I am NOT a licensed mental health therapist, though)
Personal struggles
Relationship conflicts
Life questions or challenges
Weddings
Funerals

Pastoral Care is one of the most integral functions of a minister, and it is always confidential.

TODAY’S SPEAKER IS PAT BEALL

Palm Beach Post Investigative Reporter Pat Beall was born in Tyler Texas, and lived in Colombia, Louisiana, and pre-Disney Orlando before settling in South Florida. She is a cheerful college dropout, having left school to jump into journalism. Her formal career started at the age of 19 at a tiny newspaper and eventually included a stint at The Wall Street Journal.

Her exposes on inhumane prison conditions, housing fraud, the opioid crisis, sober home fraud, and others social issues have led to significant changes at the state and local levels. Pat’s 2017 memoir of her own childhood abuse garnered national recognition.

She is a speaker at journalism workshops and a frequent panelist at the Investigative Reporters and Editors’ national conference, where she won multiple IRE finalist honors. Other recent national awards include the 2014 Hillman Prize for Newspaper Journalism, and the 2015 Barlett & Steele Bronze Medal for business investigative reporting. She shared the Sigma Delta Chi Award for Investigative Reporting, and was a 2018 Society for Features Journalism finalist for narrative storytelling. She shared the 2016 Association of Health Care Journalists Award for Public Health Reporting. She was also the Florida Sigma Delta Chi's 2017 Journalist of the Year.

In her precious spare time, she gardens, kayaks, reads and has coffee with friends. Through absolutely no fault of her own, she lives with four bullying cats.
