SOLSTICE CELEBRATION WITH ELAINE SILVER

Welcome

Introductions

Announcements

* Lighting the Chalice Flame: (in unison) Blessed is the fire we find within ourselves. As the winter solstice approaches, we cast our gaze within. On the longest night we kindle the fire of love, of warm tears, the glow of acceptance, patience, vision and hope. As darkness gathers round, so do we -- simple, humble souls holding the light of hope together for each other. Blessed is the fire within each soul and in this, our beloved community.

Quiet Time/Meditation & Candle Lighting

OffertoryOn This Longest Night and I Call on the Light Within (Elaine Silver Music, BMI)

Affirmation: (in unison) Love is the spirit of this Congregation and service is its law. This is our great covenant: to dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in love, and to help one another.

Message: Celebration of the Solstice with Rev. Faerie Elaine Silver

Extinguishing the Chalice Flame: (in unison) We extinguish this flame, but not the light of truth, the warmth of community, or the fire of commitment. These we carry in our hearts until we are together again.
