For all who die in war
   We lift up our hearts
For all who live in suffering in the aftermath of violence

For all who give their lives in smoke and flame
   We lift up our hearts
For all who go on in honor of the dead
   We lift up our hearts
For all who have served

For our country and our world

For a planet that will find peace

For the young and the innocent

For the weary and war torn

For those who would pray

Shanti, shalom, peace, salaam. 

Lighting the Chalice Flame: 
Come, come, whoever you are -
Wanderer, worshiper, lover of leaving.
Ours is no caravan of despair.
Come, yet again come.

Affirmation: Love is the spirit of this Congregation and service is its law. This is our great covenant to dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in love and to help one another.
