Prelude: Landslide (S. Nicks)

Welcome and Announcements

Lighting the Chalice Flame: Why We’re Here by Erik Walker Wikstrom (in unison)
Here, today, in this place and with these people, may we listen so that we can hear; may we hear so that we can feel; may we feel so that we can know; and may we know so that we can change ourselves and this world. May this chalice we light, light our way.

Opening Words: For a New Beginning by John O’Donohue

Hymn #311 Let It Be a Dance

Social Justice Minute

Quiet Time/Meditation/Prayer

Story for All Ages: Beyond Every Door by Molly Housch Gordon

Hymn: Go Now in Peace
Go now in peace, go now in peace; may the spirit of love surround you everywhere, everywhere you may go.

Offertory: Change (C. Underwood)

Responsive Reading #468 We Need One Another

Affirmation (in unison) Love is the spirit of this Congregation and service is its law.  This is our great covenant: to dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in love and to help one another.

Hymn #128 For All That Is Our Life

Sermon: Beginnings and Endings:  Embracing Change by Amy Stauber

Hymn #123 Spirit of Life

Extinguishing the Chalice Flame (in unison) We extinguish this flame, but not the light of truth, the warmth of community, or the fire of commitment.  These we carry in our hearts until we are together again.

Summer UU MATTERS Schedule
With the arrival of summer, our summer calendar is not quite as busy, so we're going to publish UU Matters every other week instead of every week. The newsletter will go out on July 22 and August 5 & 19. If you have an item for UU Matters, please plan accordingly and email it to admin@1stuupb.org by the Thursday BEFORE publication. Thanks for understanding.

PASTORAL CARE INFORMATION
Arrangements have been made for Pastoral Care to be available as needed.  Please contact the office for additional information, 561-627-6105 or email admin@1stuupb.org

Help Spread The Word
As we continue to use social media as way to get the word out about who we are and what we’re all about at 1stUUPB, you can help us a lot in just a few clicks (if you have a Facebook account, that is).
*Find our Facebook page by searching for us by name, and make sure you have “Liked” the page.
*Whenever you see a post from us in your newsfeed, don’t just scroll past it. Please click on it and select a “Like” option. If you hover over the Like button with your cursor and wait a moment without clicking, a few other options show up. You can choose a thumbs up, a heart, a laugh, a “what in the world?!?” face, a sad face or a mad face. Make a comment on the post.
*Share the post either on your own page or share it with someone you think might be interested in it.
*Give us a 5 star rating and tell what you enjoy about our congregation.
*If you have the Facebook app on your smart phone, anytime you are at 1stUUPB for a Sunday service or NewsTalk or Teaching Thursday or yoga or a movie or a meeting or whatever, please check in to let people know you are here.

Why are we asking you to do all this? Because it is an easy way to spread the word about who we are and the important work we do here. Plus, all this is FREE marketing! Who doesn’t like free?!?
